Hi folks,
this is a newer (beta) version of the BigRRed wrapper,
with some further enhancements for Unreal.
Unreal looks really good now (at least for me).....

Installation:
------------------------------------
Just copy BIGRRED.INI and GLIDE2X.DLL into the Unreal\System folder,
then start & configure Unreal in advanced options for 3dfx rendering
in 640x480 fullscreen (you may choose a different resolution).

At least the following options in Unreal must be set right:
ScreenFlashes=False			(in [WinDrv.WindowsClient])
DetailTextures=False			(in [GlideDrv.GlideRenderDevice])

And that's all. Exit & restart the game....et, voila!
The screen should now show something nice...(but slow?)
You can play the game in windowed mode, too, just set InWindow=2 in
BIGRRED.INI!

The most important enhancements in this release:
------------------------------------------------------
o) I implemented one last missing gl?de command and
enhanced the handling of blending modes, and now everything
looks as it should look - it is all much brighter now, and the
reflections look MUCH better!! In the intro & the first level,
everything looks like on a Vxxdxx card now...., as far as I
can tell...
o) the white frame (1pixel) in fullscreen mode is now most of the
time gone - there is still a problem with it, though, and after
saving, e.g., you will have a blue frame I think....
but it's better, at least....
o) Problems under water and after being hit: You simply have
to configure Unreal right!!

Other problems, still remaining for the next release:
------------------------------------------------------
o) some textures (e.g. the ground around the house, where
the ship has crashed) are screwed up and look quite
psychodelic - I hope to be able to fix this, this a technical
problem with the V2200 texture coordinate range....

o) some problems/errors with W-buffering - this is the reason,
why for example the waterfall disappears under some viewing
angles - again a technical problem with coordinate ranges,
I am still not sure whether I will be able to fix this....

o) Speed: well, test it yourself, I have problems with my P133, but
that's no surprise....You can play around with the configuration
options in Unreal, it's worth it, I think....
For fast speed, try for example:
LowDetailTextures=True			(in [WinDrv.WindowsClient])
SlowVideoBuffering=True			(in [WinDrv.WindowsClient])
Coronas=False				(in [GlideDrv.GlideRenderDevice])
HighDetailActors=False			(in [GlideDrv.GlideRenderDevice])

Again, please mail me much feedback (e.g. about whether fog
effects are now ok or are missing or wrong...) & have fun

Marvin
