PLATFORMS:
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000

DESCRIPTION:
SyncURLs provides an easy way to synchronize your Netscape and Internet Explorer
bookmarks. It imports your Netscape bookmarks and/or MSIE favorites into a
single "Bookmark Library". You can rearrange your bookmarks within SyncURLs,
then export them back out so both browsers contain the same bookmarks and
folders. Or you can save your Bookmark Libraries to disk for easy transport to
another computer.

REVISION HISTORY:
Changes in Version 1.5:
- Fixed bug that would cause relocated folders to disappear when loading from a BookMark Library (.bml) file. This could also cause other problems such as subfolders appearing in the root level of the tree instead of where they really belonged, and "unable to create folder" errors when exporting bookmarks to MSIE.
Note that this bug was in the code that loads a library from disk, not the code that saves a library to disk, so the information for the missing folders is saved in the file correctly. Therefore, if you have BookMark Library file in which entire folders seem to have disappeared, try loading that library with this version. Any missing folders should reappear and be shown at their proper position in the tree.

Changes in Version 1.4
- Improved user profile detection for Netscape 4.5 and later.
- The BOOKMARK.HTM parser now extracts the page name correctly for
"BookMarkLets".
- Improved execution speed when importing bookmarks or loading libraries.
- Various new features and changes in program operation--see the online Help
file for details.

Changes in Version 1.3
- Fixes a bug that caused the "Weed Duplicates" function to crash on systems
with Internet Explorer 4.x installed when there are a very large number
of duplicates. This fix also reduces memory consumption by about 50% while
the "Weed Duplicates" function is active.
- Program no longer shuts down when it is unable to detect installed
browsers automatically. Instead, it launches with the browser-specific
commands disabled. This allows use of the "File | Import HTML...." and
"Export | Other BOOKMARK.HTM..." commands to read and write Netscape
bookmarks manually.

Changes in Version 1.2
- Fixes a bug introduced in v1.1 that prevented the import of MSIE bookmarks.
- Makes some minor changes to the way Netscape 4.x user profiles are detected.
These changes are documented in the online help.

Changes in Version 1.1
- Fixes the reported bugs in v1.0 and changes some aspects of the program's
behavior. These changes are documented in the online help.

INSTALLATION:
Place the program files SyncURLs.EXE, SyncURLs.HLP, and SyncURLs.CNT files in
the folder of your choice. SyncURLs automatically registers its "Bookmark
Library" file type (.BML extension) with Windows Explorer.

To remove SyncURLs from your system, launch the program from the command line
(or the Start Menu's Run command) and specify the "/UNINSTALL" switch. After a
giving you a chance to cancel the operation, SyncURLs will remove its data from
the system Registry. Once that's done, simply delete the program's files from
your hard disk. Note: If your system is configured for multiple users, you must
run through the uninstall process while logged in as each user that has launched
SyncURLs before you delete the files.

For details on usage, refer to the program's online help.
