| ***** TroubleShooting ***** |
-------------------------------

        1. Cannot find the parallel kit's external drive?

Ans: Please check if the following H/W installations are correct:

             a. the flat cable between our converter and drive is connected
with correct position. (pin1-2 is connected to pin1-2 correctly)
             b. the printer cable between our converter and PC parallel port is
connected to correct port. Please check if the printer cable is
connected to our converter's "TO COMPUTER" connector.
             c. did support the power to our converter.
             d. did support the power to the drive.
             e. remember to power on the drive before the PC system is powered
                on.
             f. Printer cable length, less than three feet is preferred.
             g. Please use the BIOS SETUP to set the PARALLEL PORT MODE to be
EPP (if there are V1.9 and V1.7 two options, please select
V1.9), or NORMAL (may be SPP), don't set it to be ECP mode.
             h. If case g. can not solve your question, please specify the
/Z14 option for the device driver and reboot again.

        2. How to make the transfer rate faster?

Ans: Our drivers support the following parallel I/O mode, and they
will detect & select the best mode automatically.

                EPP mode (fastest)
                BI-DIRECTION mode .
                UNI-DIRECTION mode .
                NIBBLE mode (slowest)

If you need the fastest speed, please enter to BIOS SETUP to setup your
parallel port I/O mode to be EPP only, ECP/EPP or EPP/SPP,
DON'T set it to ECP only.
