                                  ARIADOS.EXE

                         Aria DOS Application Launcher
                                  Version 1.1
 DESCRIPTION:

AriaDOS is a DOS program launcher for Windows. This allows
DOS programs that make use of Sound Blaster or Aria audio
functions to execute properly when launched from Windows.

FILES: ARIADOS.EXE Aria DOS Application Launcher program.
ARIALIB.DLL Aria support library for ARIADOS.EXE.

Both files must be copied into the same directory.

 SYNTAX: ARIADOS <progname> [progargs...]

where, <progname> is a complete program name including
drive and directory path. This may also
specify a DOS batch file or Windows PIF file.

[progargs] are any optional command line arguments required
                             for the specified program.

 SPECIAL NOTES:

Please note that to run any Aria-specific DOS application from
Windows will require that the Aria virtual driver (VARIAD.386)
is **NOT** installed. If installed, it will prevent all Aria
audio functions from operating while in the DOS shell. The
device driver VARIAD.386 may be found in the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM.INI
file under the [386Enh] heading as "device=variad.386".

Any active Windows application making use of Aria audio should be
closed before launching an ARIADOS program. This prevents any
conflict between applications, especially in Windows 386 enhanced
           mode.

Also, when returning to Windows from the DOS application, any
special Aria functions that may have been loading prior to
running ARIADOS will not be reloaded. These include functions
such as Reverb or Speech Recognition. These functions should be
           switched off
