Welcome to the Suncom Technologies Installation program for the
F-15E Eagle Tactical Control Stick. The following instructions
describe the additional files that we have included on this
diskette for your convenience. These files include:

1.) *.KEY files
2.) *.TXT files
3.) BLANK.BMP file.

1.) *.KEY files:

The *.KEY files are pre-programmed game configuration files
used in conjunction with the EAGLE Setup Program. Type EAGLE
at the prompt C:\EAGLE> to start the EAGLE Setup Program.
Choosing OPEN from the FILE menu in the EAGLE Setup Program
gives you access to all of the *.KEY files that have been
installed from this diskette to your hard drive.

The *.KEY files are pre-programmed "Templates" that you can
download to your F-15E Eagle for use with many of today's
popular simulation and entertainment software programs.
Thirty-three *.KEY "Template" files are included on this
diskette, covering thirty-five different game programs.

2.) *.TXT files:

The *.TXT files are simple text files. These *.TXT files
provide you with a written description of each of the
thirty-three *.KEY "Template" button configurations. For
example, the F117.TXT file describes the various functions of
the F-15E Eagle's Buttons that have been pre-programmed in the
F117.KEY file.

To obtain a printout of the *.TXT file through your DOS command
line, simply type PRINT *.TXT. You will be instructed to enter
your printer port number. This typically is LPT1. For example,
if you wish to print out the button configuration of the
F117.KEY file, type PRINT F117.TXT at the prompt and LPT1 at the
[PRN]: message.

To obtain a printout of the *.TXT file through your Windows
software, begin by booting up the WINDOWS program. Afterwards,
start up the Notepad program by double-clicking on the NOTEPAD
Icon. From the Notepad File menu, choose OPEN. From the file
lists displayed, find the EAGLE folder. Note: The EAGLE folder
should be below your Windows folder unless you have specified
otherwise. Click on your EAGLE folder. The Notepad file list
should show a listing of all *.TXT files in the EAGLE
subdirectory. Double-click on the FILE of your choice and the
Text file will be shown on the Notepad screen. From the Notepad
File menu choose PRINT and the *.TXT will be printed on your
printer.

3.) BLANK.BMP file:

The BLANK.BMP file is a Bitmap file that contains a blank
graphical template of the F15 EAGLE. This blank template
must be accessed through your Windows software.

To access the BLANK.BMP file, begin by booting up your WINDOWS
program. Then, start up the Paintbrush program by
double-clicking on the PAINTBRUSH Icon. From the Paintbrush File
menu, choose OPEN. From the file list displayed, find the EAGLE
folder. Note: The EAGLE folder should be below your Windows
folder unless you have specified otherwise. Click on your EAGLE
folder. The Paintbrush file list should show the BLANK.BMP file
in the EAGLE subdirectory. Double-click on the BLANK.BMP file.

For a printout of the BLANK.BMP file, choose PRINT from the
Paintbrush's File menu. The BLANK.BMP file will then print out.
To create your own graphical *.BMP file, simply choose the
SAVE AS option from the Paintbrush File menu. Then, re-name the
existing BLANK.BMP file to a file name of your choice. For
example, if you wish to create a graphical template for the
F117.KEY file, you must Open the BLANK.BMP file in Paintbrush and
SAVE AS the F117.BMP file. This new F117.BMP file can be edited
through the Paintbrush program. Click on the "abc" Paintbrush
option and fill in the empty spaces with your description of the
F15 EAGLE's buttons. Then, from the File menu, choose the SAVE
option. Finally, from the Paintbrush File menu, choose the PRINT
option.
