Subject: OS/2 PM Hints and Tips Status

Status as of 3 May 1991

The current plan is still to produce the following volumes -

Volume 1 - Presentation Manager Programming
  Volume 2 - Base Programming
Volume 3 - Communications Manager and LAN
  Volume 4 - Database Manager
  Volume 5 - Using OS/2 (from the user's perspective)

I am sending you the latest version of Volume 1.
You will receive a SAVERAM2 file called PMHINTS RAMBIN, and the
LOADRAM2 EXEBIN just in case you don't already have it. Download them
to your PC in binary format and type

             LOADRAM2 PMHINTS.RAM d: /S /CA /D
or
             LOADRAM2 PMHINTS.RAM d:\subdir /SR /CA /D

to unload the package. Where d: is your preferred drive and
subdir is a sub-directory on that drive

Note:
It will easily fit on a 1.44MB diskette if you wish to distribute it.

The package contains -

PMHINTS.INF (Type VIEW PMHINTS to read)
  DLGMLE.EXE (
  DLGGEN.EXE (
  WINDOWS.EXE (
LISTBOX.EXE ( Sample programs which may be 'LAUNCHED' from VIEW
  MENU.EXE (
  MOUSEPTR.EXE (
  SKELETON.EXE (
SAMPLES (Sub-directory containing program source and executables

Note - LAUNCH does not work in OS/2 Version 1.3 (yet!)

I will send you an update next month, but in the meantime feel free to
distribute this version as required, internally or externally.

If you find any errors or wish to make any comments then please send me
a note.
