   What is Less?
The Less program is written for DOS (with FreeDOS) in mind.
Less displays text files on the text screen. Its behavior is
verry much like the DOS MORE command with some added
features. Less allows the user to give a text file name on
the command line. Then use the arrow keys, ENTER, SPACE BAR,
BACKSPACE, PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN keys to move up or down
through the file.

  How to use Less?
To view a text file, let's say stuff.txt, you would type the
following on the command line:
less stuff.txt

This displays the first page of the text file. Below is a list
of possible commands and what they do:
  KEY COMMAND ACTION
============================================
  BACKSPACE Move up one line
  ENTER Move down one line
PAGE UP Move up one page
PAGE DOWN Move down one page
SPACE BAR Move down one page
ARROW UP Move up one line
ARROW DOWN Move down one line
  G Jump to line
  / Search for line
  N Search again
  ESC Exit
  Q Exit

If you start the Less program without any arguments, it displays
a help page. Also, you can start Less giving the width and height of
your text screen. This is handy for those people who like setting their
screens to 48, 52 or 12 lines. For example:
  less stuff.txt 60 20

This command views stuff.txt with a screen width of 60 characters
and a height of 20 lines. If the width and height are not valid ranges
(example negative numbers) they are set to the defaults.

   Where to get Less?
An up-to-date copy of Less will be kept at:

   How to compile Less?
If you want to compile Less for yourself, you can download the source
from http://slicer69.tripod.com/code/#dos
You will need a copy of Borland's C compiler (Borland's C compiler
can be downloaded from programmersheaven.com).
On the command line, type:
bcc less.c

   What Changes have been made?
Version 1.2 -
