	What's new? 'cFos' ISDN Driver Family
	----------------------------------------------------------------

	Please read this list of changes and	enhancements carefully,
	because we maybe changed some details that might concern you.

	To make things a little easier, here's a small legend:

	  * New feature

	Revision history: ----------------------------------------------

	cFos/Win
	cFos/NT
	cFos/DOS
	cFos/2

	  ! New Product: cFos/ATM is a new driver with special
	    Broadband-CAPI / ATM SVC and PVC support!

	    cFos/ATM allows the use of a world of modem applications with
	    broadband networks like ATM. cFos/ATM combines ISDN, ATM and
	    DSL (PPPoE) into one product.

	    cFos/ATM includes licenses for cFos/Win, cFos/NT and cFos/2.
	    It runs with (normal) narrowband CAPI drivers or with
	    broadband CAPI drivers, like the most recent drivers for
	    HST Saphir 2025 and 2155 cards. Many thanks to Joern Bardwyck,
	    again, for the many helpful hints and explanations!

	    We added a special broadband modem register set *S0 to
	    *S14 and two new string registers &S8 / &S9 to allow you
	    to select a great variety of ATM (Q.2931) parameters. Special
	    broadband ATM features are:

	    - cFos treats SVCs like dialup connections with modems or
	      ISDN.
	    - Full ATM protocol- and protocol-parameters selection by
	      evaluating all relevant signaling elements.
	    - Full protocol signalling for outgoing calls.
	    - Max. framesize negotiation according to Q.2931, appendix F.3.
	    - Traffic contracts: CBR, VBR (realtime and non-realtime) with
	      constant or variable bitrates, UBR, UBR+ and ABR (with
	      selection of PCR and MCR).
	    - Provisions for narrowband <-> broadband interworking, by
	      evaluation of narrowband information elements.
	    - Mapping of narrowband listen mask -> broadband listen mask.
	    - User-selectable AAL1 parameters, user-codable BBC values.
	    - Support of CAPI's ATM channel allocation features for PVCs and
	      dedicated VPs/VCs for SVCs, see registers *S8 / *S9 for
	      details.
	    - Support for RFC 2364, PPP over AAL5 incoming and outgoing
	      calls, ie. cFos evaluates / provides the required signalling
	      element.	Also LAN LLC encapsulation can be used and signalled.
	    - Support for protocol signalling according to TR 9577.
	    - Support for HST broadband spec. (default) and the current
	      broadband CAPI proposal (use -j$ switch).

	    By providing full signalling support for outgoing calls and
	    evaluation of the respective info elements for incoming calls,
	    we hope that this time a lot of compatibility problems, which
	    exist in ISDN because the signalling elements are not used
	    properly, can be avoided.

	    For a complete documentation of cFos/ATM's additional
	    broadband features see ATM.HTM.

	  ! Removed &P and &U modem commands. Use string registers &S11
	    and &S12 instead.

	  ! The current ISDN MSN is now used as X.31/X.25 calling party
	    number. Thus you can set your calling number in the same way
	    as with ISDN dial-up connections by settings &Ax and &En.

	  ! Filename changes:

	       CTRACE  -> CTRACE.TXT
	       LOGFILE -> LOGFILE.TXT

	  ! Speeded PPP dialin in conjunction with MS DialUp-Network.
	    Be sure to turn off IP-Header-Compression under Windows 9x
	    with T-DSL for fast login!	Rightclick on your T-DSL connection
	    in Dailup-Network and select Properties -> Server Types ->
	    TCP/IP settings -> IP-Header-Compression and switch it off.

	  * Added subaddressing support: You can now dial subadresses by
	    using @ in the phone number or register S115. Also you can
	    listen to subaddresses or combinations of MSNs and subaddresses.
	    For more information see register &S10 (in MODEM.TXT) about
	    simulating MSNs by using subaddresses and SUBADD.HTM for a
	    complete description of cFos' use of MSNs & subaddresses.

	  * Added PPP LAN LLC encapsulation according RFC2364. You can set
	    S75.1=1 to activate it.

	  * Improved detection of some ethernet boards (cFos/Win & cFos/NT).

	  * New nice Icons

	  * Parameter -dtt generates CTRACE.TXT files with 1/100 sec
	    timestamps for cFos/Win and 1/1000 sec timestamps for cFos/NT.

	  * You can specify a CAPI reject cause in Register S38. This
	    can be useful for the Fido Freepoll feature. See MODEM.TXT
	    for more information.

	  * Changed ATD modem command, so that it will no longer need an
	    actual phone number when used with ADSL.

	  * Changed default of register S109 to reflect changes in CAPI
	    2.0 3rd edition. You can reset it to 127 if you experience
	    problems with older CAPIs (ie. ERROR/LISTEN modem responses).
	    Also registers S41 & S42 are no longer mapped to register
	    S109. Please use S41, S42 for CAPI 1.1 and S109 for CAPI 2.0.

	  * Improved protocol selection for incoming calls. cFos should
	    now be able to handle incoming X.31, Case B calls.

	  * cFos can change your username in outgoing PAP authentication
	    requests. This may be useful e.g. for dialins that require
	    to have a domain part at the end but software that does not
	    support that. There are two ways:

	     -- Set &S6 to the old username and &S7 to the new one.
		cFos will replace the old one (if found) with the new one.

	     -- Leave &S6 empty and set &S7 to the domain to be added.
		&S7 will be added to the username if it's not already
		there.

	  x Fixed a bug with PPP Echo-Reqs which could cause DSL-
	    disconnects.

	  x Charges wouldn't be displayed in the correct position in the
	    small status window.  Fixed.

	  x Sometimes the V.120 protocol would not be selected properly
	    for incoming calls.  Fixed.

	  x Fixed a bug where multiple PPP frames where encoded into one
	    HDLC frame.

	  - By default cFos also listens to call of type packet mode and
	    56k rate adaption and all types of GSM/V.110 calls. Therefore
	    we changed defaults of registers S107 & S14.

	  - Modified CAPI 1.1 to CAPI 2.0 mapping. Changing register S14
	    will also change S107/S108, changing register S20/S21/S27 will
	    change S100..S103 and changing S16/17 will generate BC,LLC,HLC
	    values and thereby change register &S0..&S2. No other mapping
	    is performed (ie. no mapping on ATZ will occur).

	  - Changes to the statusline: CPS-rates are now like 1234 (up
	    to 9999 cps), then 12k3 (up to 99999 cps) and then like 123k.
	    Online-time counter is now like mm'ss (up to 99min 59sec),
	    then like hh:mm.

	cFos/NT

	  ! Preliminary support for CAPI2032.DLL! Load cFos/NT with switch
	    -v0 to activate it. It REQUIRES the status window to be
	    present, i.e. it will NOT work if you're not logged in.
	    Use it when there is no kernelmode CAPI support available.
	    Right now this is not supported by the setup program, so it
	    will still tell you there is no CAPI driver even if there is
	    a functional CAPI2032.DLL available. This will be changed
	    soon. Until then, you may start SETUP with -nocapicheck and
	    then specify -v0 by hand in the parameters box.

	  * Now CAPIs with non-standard names (like DiCapi instead of
	    CAPI20x) are supported. Use -v<name> (like -vDiCapi) to
	    activate it manually. Usually the installer will set the right
	    CAPI name for you.

	  x Fixed freezes of cFos/NT with DSL under Win2000.

	  - -jr switch is now default. Use -jj to re-activate CAPI re-
	    registering.

	cFos/2

	  x Fixed slow internet uploads.

	cFos/NT 3.03 BETA, 09-Feb-2000

	  ! cFos/NT has now PPPoE (i.e. (A)DSL) support!

	    How to use cFos/NT DSL with Telekom T-DSL:

	    -- Dedicate one cFos COM-port to DSL
	    -- Add the "cFos DSL ..." modem to that port using the
	       Modem manager (Start > Settings > Control Panel > Modems)
	    -- Windows will offer to reconfigure RAS, follow that
	       suggestion.
	    -- Add a RAS port using the cFos DSL modem.
	    -- Finish RAS setup and reboot when you're asked.
	    -- Start Dial-Up Networking and add a new connection. Select
	       the cFos DSL modem and enter an arbitrary phone number
	       (like 42). Save the new entry.
	    -- Click 'Dial' and enter your account data when prompted:
	       It's like "111111111111222222222222#0001@t-online.de".
	       The 1's are your "Anschlusskennung" and the 2's are your
	       "T-Online-Nr.".
	    -- That's it! Have fun with your new high-speed-cFos!

	    Note for WinPoET users:
	    Be sure to Stop the "WinPPPoverEthernet" service in Start >
	    Settings > Control Panel > Services (in German it's under
	    Start > Einstellungen > Systemsteuerung > Dienste).
	    Otherwise, WinPoET will disconnect your cFos/NT PPPoE
	    sessions! It's not enough to close the taskbar icon!

	  * The cFos DSL modems in the .INF file are set to use the
	    budgets 10 (Card 1) and 9 (Card 2). Add the day in the
	    month when your budget is reset by hand in Start > Settings >
	    Control Panel > Modems > cFos DSL modem > Properties >
	    Connection > Advanced by settings the "Extra Settings" to
	    ATS95=<day> S94=<minutes per month for budget>.

	cFos/Win 3.02a, 22-Dec-1999

	  x Fixed a bug which caused ADSL disconnects when used in
	    combination with ISDN caller monitor.

	cFos/Win 3.02, 20-Dec-1999
	cFos/NT
	cFos/DOS
	cFos/2

	  * Added a smaller cFos status window. This is now the
	    default. You can select old-style (large window) and
	    new-style (small window) in the context menu. The new
	    window contains the following information:
	       line 1: serial number
	       line 2: charging pulses, cps rate, connection timer
	       line 3: dialed/calling number or budget info
	       line 4: caller monitor
	    There are also 2 indicators, the left moves when a block
	    is received, the right when one is transmitted.
	    By double-clicking the client area of the window you can
	    switch the window's title bar on and off.

	  * Added support for 2 (or more) ethernet cards (ADSL/PPPoE).
	    cFos actually supports up to 10 ethernet cards. You can
	    select the card by ATS92=x. 1=first card, 2=second, ...
	    For convenience we added a second cFos (A)DSL modem to the
	    modem manager for easy selection of the second ethernet
	    card.

	  * cFos now writes the disconnect reason to the LOGFILE if
	    logging is activated.

	  x Fixed modem-information for ADSL. When doing PPPoE cFos
	    now reports 10.000.000 bit/s so that some media players
	    will play broadband stream.

	  - You may experience problems playing broadband streams with
	    windows media player. According to our tests you can solve
	    them by deactivating UDP. Start program files\windows media
	    player\mplayer2.exe and select "view" -> "options" ->
	    "advanced" -> "Windows Media" and deactivate the UDP check
	    box.

	cFos/Win

	  x Fixed a GPF and some memory problems, which could occur
	    when cFos/Win was used with ADSL only. Thanx to Michael
	    Lau and Oliver Rode.

	  x Fixed a serious bug which could cause all kinds of problems
	    when cFos was loaded without a working CAPI, ie. ADSL only.

	  x Fixed a bug which caused a crash when clicking on "Help!"
	    in the context menu. Thanx to Hans-Georg Joepgen.

	cFos/Win 3.01, 03-Dec-1999

	  * Added automatic blocksize adjustment in order to overcome
	    problems with MTU/MRU sizes greater than 1492.

	  x Fixed PPPoE address field handling and a lot of other
	    inconsistancies to RFC2516 and 2 bluescreens when an error
	    occurred during PPPoE session negotiation.	Many thanks to
	    Heinz Rickes for his superb bug-reports/traces and helpful
	    hints.

	  x Fixed a bug in RFC1662 conversion which could affect
	    send (but not receive) speed.

	  - Note! In our tests WinPoET interfered with the cFos PPPoE
	    packets by actively trying to disconnect cFos' PPPoE
	    session, therefore you have to shutdown WinPoET before
	    using cFos: right-click on WinPoET's tray icon and select
	    shutdown.

	cFos/Win 3.00, 25-Nov-1999
	cFos/NT  3.00, 25-Nov-1999
	cFos/DOS 3.00, 25-Nov-1999
	cFos/2	 3.00, 25-Nov-1999

	  ! cFos Xmas order form '99 included!	Have a look at XMAS99.TXT
	    to get cFos at a discount price for noncommercial use if you
	    order until 20-Dec-1999!

	  ! 'cFos' goes broadband!! - Major feature upgrade!

	    Added support for ADSL.
	    cFos/Win now supports the PPPoE-protocol on Ethernet-cards.
	    This means you can access any PPPoE-capable broadband device,
	    such as Telekom T-DSL modems, thereby combining the cFos ISDN
	    features with ADSL. The only driver needed for both ISDN and
	    ADSL (or any other broadband technology using PPPoE) is cFos (+).

	    How to use it:
	    cFos can be installed even if no CAPI driver is found.
	    In the modem manager simply add the "cFos, DSL, PPPoE on card
	    #1" modem or set S92=1 in the modem init-string to access your
	    first ethernet card installed. You can dial an arbitrary phone
	    number, since 'cFos' ignores it for PPPoE.
	    cFos/NT will soon be upgraded to broadband technology, too.
	    Happy high-speed surfing! :-)

	    (+) for ISDN you also need a CAPI driver, of course.

	  * cFos can answer or even generate PPP Echo-Requests to check
	    if the line is still up. This is particularly useful for a
	    PPPoE connection, because there is no actual carrier signal.
	    Register S83=1 just answers incoming requests, while S83 > 1
	    answers incoming and sends out Echo-requests each <S83>
	    seconds. The cFos inactivity timers work if cFos answers
	    or even sends Echo-requests (i.e. those packets are not
	    counted as 'activity').
	    If there is no reply within <S84> retries the line is
	    disconnected and NO CARRIER is issued. This feature allows
	    PPPoE users to get a reasonable indication when the line dies
	    without proper hangup sequence (so you notice when the plug
	    is pulled).

	  * cFos now supports 10 time-budgets.	So you always know how much
	    time you have spent with a particular provider or how much more
	    free time you have. Set S93=1..10 (Budget number), S94=free
	    minutes per month on this budget, S95=day of month the budget is
	    reset (i.e. a new budget begins). After changing S94 or S95,
	    the changes are saved immediately, so you only need to set
	    them once, then add e.g. "ATS93=1" to your init string and you
	    get the time left on your budget instead of the phone number
	    in cFos' status window. S94=0 just displays the used time.

	    Example: AT S93=1 S94=3000 S95=1 would be a good setting
	    for T-Online's ADSL Speed 50, where you have 50 hours free
	    per month.	In this example we assume that the invoice is
	    sent on the 1st of the month.

	    The budget data is saved in the GLOBAL file.

	    You can use AT&G5 to display the data saved in the 10 budgets,
	    in case you want to see them all. AT&G6 resets the selected
	    budget (i.e. the used seconds are set to zero).

	  * Added X.31 support for Diva cards, which require setting of
	    additional parameters in order for an X.31 connect to succeed.

	  * Added leased line support (CAPI 2.0 versions) by leased
	    line B-channel allocation (e.g. D64S, D64S2). S114H determines
	    if the leased line is used in DTE (=0) or DTE (=1) mode.
	    S114L specifies the number of b-channels allocated for the
	    leased line.

	  * Added X.31 TEI-Sharing for HST CAPIs. Also incoming logical
	    calls can now be distinguished by call user data. If the call
	    user data of an incoming call matches the value specified in
	    string register &S3 of a certain COM-port, that port will get
	    the call. All Ports without call user data in &S3 will can also
	    get the call. Moreover all ports can get calls, when no call
	    user data is reported for an incoming call.

	cFos/Win

	  x Known Problem: cFos seems to be unaccessable on machines with
	    more than 1 ethernet card installed. We'll address this ASAP.

	cFos/2

	  - Discontinued alternate monitor support.

	cFos/Win 2.97d, 30-Aug-1999
	cFos/NT  2.97d, 30-Aug-1999
	cFos/DOS 2.97d, 30-Aug-1999
	cFos/2	 2.97d, 30-Aug-1999

	  * Added -jw switch to disable V.120 protocol.

	  ! Some old versions wrote PROFILEs with misaligned data. One
	    effect is that the &C (CD operation) was set to 0, i.e.
	    CD always high. Such profiles are now ignored when read.
	    You might have to write a new PROFILE.

	  x Fixed some SETUP bugs.

	  - The Win32 executables are again compressed with a new version
	    of PETITE.	F-Prot should no longer complain about the files
	    beeing 'suspicious'.

	cFos/NT

	  - Discontinued alternate monitor support.

	cFos/Win 2.97a, 22-Jul-1999
	cFos/NT 2.97a, 22-Jul-1999
	cFos/DOS 2.97a, 22-Jul-1999
	cFos/2 2.97a, 22-Jul-1999

	  ! F-Prot 3.05b with signatures of 7. July 1999 falsely
	    identified CFOSDNT.EXE as "could be infected with an unknown
	    virus". This was a false alarm that seems to be trigged due
	    to the Win32 exe compression utility we use (PETITE 2.1).
	    To avoid confusion, we don't compress this file.

	  x Fixed garbled screen output in DOSSETUP and OS2SETUP.

	cFos/Win 2.97, 19-Jul-1999
	cFos/NT 2.97, 19-Jul-1999
	cFos/DOS 2.97, 19-Jul-1999
	cFos/2 2.97, 19-Jul-1999

	  * Setup32 now detects TELES.VCOMM and RVS-COM and tells you
	    what to do to install cFos anyway.	(TELES.VCOMM only uses
	    the ports it is configured to, but RVS-COM tries to hog
	    COM1-COM12, no matter if you selected them or not!)

	  * The ATI5 command now shows the actual accumulated timediff.
	    After an AT&T (or with -jt) this will be 0, because system
	    time was adjusted.

	  * The following features are now available in the shareware
	    version:

	     -- The cFos/DOS BPS, CALLERID, HANGUP, EAZ and STATUSLINE
		commands,
	     -- the -jc and -kb switches,
	     -- the ATDF and ATDV commands,
	     -- the audible RING,
	     -- register S70 and cost-management functions,
	     -- the CPS-O-METER
	     -- incoming CCB calls, if resources available

	  * The status window can now be closed in the shareware version
	    for the first 35 days of the evaluation period. After that,
	    a message box will appear and the window will no longer close
	    to inform you that your evaluation period will end soon.

	  * Added the sounds features of cFos/Win to cFos/NT, plus some
	    enhancements in both. Now you can have files even for
	    special incoming phone numbers, plus you can use a LOCAL.INI
	    file to specify mappings to "real" WAV files. It works like
	    this:

	       Is <cfos-dir>\<basename>-<mymsn>_<hisnumber>.WAV there?
	       Is <cfos-dir>\<basename>_<hisnumber>.WAV there?
	       Is <cfos-dir>\<basename>-<mymsn>.WAV there?
	       Is <cfos-dir>\<basename><portnumber>.WAV there?
	       Is <cfos-dir>\<basename>.WAV there?

	    The first WAV file that is found will be played. If the file
	    is not found, cFos checks <cfos-dir>\LOCAL.INI for the file.

	    <basename> is the prefix of the WAV file:

	       CFMON played on incoming monitor call
	       CFRING  played on RING
	       CFCON   play on CONNECT
	       CFDIS   played on disconnect

	    LOCAL.INI looks like this:

	       [sounds]
	       cfmon_0228999999.wav = c:\cFosNT\hellothere.wav
	       ...

	    cFos/Win uses MPLAYER.EXE to play, thus if another programm
	    is using the multimedia device, a popup messages from the
	    media player may appear.

	    Sometimes Win95/98 will not play the cFos WAV files due to
	    multimedia settings. Then you can start MPLAYER in a DOS box
	    and have it fix the multimedia settings.

	    The LOCAL.INI file and format are subject to change.

	    Thanx to Nicolai Dubben for getting me the right pointer.

	  ! More filename changes:

	    APPEND.DOC	 ->  APPEND.TXT
	    APPNOTES.TXT ->  DOSAPPS.TXT
	    AVAIL.DOC	 ->  AVAIL.TXT
	    CFOS.DOC	 ->  CFOS.TXT
	    CFOS.ENG	 ->  CFOS_E.TXT
	    CFOS.FAQ	 ->  CFOSFAQ.TXT
	    COPYING.CF	 ->  COPYING.TXT
	    LICENSE.DOC  ->  LICENSE.TXT
	    MODEM.DOC	 ->  MODEM.TXT
	    ORDER.AUS	 ->  ORDER_A.TXT
	    ORDER.DOC	 ->  ORDER.TXT
	    ORDER.ENG	 ->  ORDER_E.TXT
	    README	 ->  README.TXT
	    README.NT	 ->  READ_NT.TXT
	    README.OS2	 ->  READ_OS2.TXT
	    WHATSNEW	 ->  WHATSNEW.TXT

	  x Caller-ID repair (prefixing caller-IDs with leading zeros)
	    did not work in the shareware version. Fixed.

	  x Fax support: Problem with missing lines at page breaks in
	    Faxworks fixed. See CFOSFAQ.HTM for help on common problems
	    with fax.

	  x Fax support under CAPI 1.1 does no longer need ATB7 to be
	    set. Fax support will now answer ERROR if you try to set
	    ATB7 while in FCLASS != 0.

	  x Minor fix of report of remote fax-ID.

	cFos/NT

	  * Support to load cFos multiple times has been added. This
	    can only be done manually (do support in SETUP) and we
	    don't intend to include it in future SETUPs. See
	    READ_NT.TXT for details.

	  x SETUP32 might have hung when copying the INF file under
	    special cirumstances (Win 2k?). Thanx to Olaf Schuetz
	    for pointing this out.

	  - Note: due to NT design, cFos/NT can only be started and
	    stopped by users from the Adminstrators or Power Users
	    group. If you want your users to be able to start/stop
	    cFos just add them to Power Users.	Microsoft thought of
	    this group as 'A local group used to represent a user or
	    set of users who expect to treat a system as if it were
	    their personal computer rather than as a workstation for
	    multiple users.'

	cFos/2

	  ! OS2SETUP.EXE native OS/2 installer available.

	cFos/DOS

	  ! The -jn switch is now default (i.e. it's default not to
	    time-sync a NetWare server), use -jq to switch it back on.

	  - The -j3 switch has been removed.

	cFos/Win   2.96 BETA, 25-May-1999
	cFos/NT    2.96 BETA, 25-May-1999
	cFos/DOS   2.96 BETA
	cFos/2	   2.96 BETA

	  ! Setup name changes!

	    INSTALL.EXE  -> SETUP.EXE
	    INST32.EXE	 -> SETUP32.EXE
	    INST_DOS.EXE -> DOSSETUP.EXE
	    CFINST.LOG	 -> CFSETUP.LOG
	    CFORD_NT.EXE -> CFORD32.EXE

	    Users may find the new names more natural.

	  ! We no longer use the PKZIP AV on our archives.

	  ! Modem registers and commands are no longer listed in
	    CFOS.DOC/CFOS.ENG.	Use MODEM.DOC instead.

	  * Workaround for DeTeWe / Eumex CAPIs. They also fixed the
	    following problem: in some cases cFos refused to send more
	    data blocks.

	  - WHATSNEW file is now stored outside of CFOSDATA.FOO
	    installation archive. Use your favorite text viewer to view
	    it.

	cFos/Win
	cFos/NT

	  x Fixed a couple of bugs in SETUP.EXE (16-bit Installer)
	    resp. SETUP32.EXE (32-bit Installer):

	    -- Long filename support in directory selection under
	       Win 9x is now working.
	    -- Umlauts in pathnames are now working.
	    -- HyperTerminal version determination now works as
	       expected.

	  * New features in cFos Installer:

	    -- Check if a CAPI driver is installed and running before
	       unpacking the installation archive.

	  * Starting with version 2.96 we can ship your order of 'cFos/
	    Professional' via eMail! If you check the 'Express' box in
	    cForder, we will pack your keyfile into a small transport
	    .EXE file named CFOSKEY.EXE. After you downloaded the file
	    you only have to copy CFOSKEY.EXE to your cFos (version >=
	    2.96) directory and start it there. CFOSKEY.EXE will call
	    cFos Install and cFos Install will register your copy of
	    cFos.

	  * New cForder programs! We re-organized the input screen into
	    3 screens to arrange things more clearly. Plus, you can now
	    have us send your cFos Registration via eMail.

	  * cForder and the configuration program can now be started
	    through the context menu.

	cFos/Win

	  ! Dropped support for alternate (monochrome) monitor. Use
	    -dt switch for tracing into a file instead.

	  x Fixed some minor problems with modem responses for CTI.

	cFos/NT

	  * cFos/NT now supports up to 30 ports.

	cFos/DOS   2.95 BETA, 20-Mar-1999
	cFos/2	   2.95 BETA, 20-Mar-1999
	cFos/Win   2.95 BETA, 20-Mar-1999
	cFos/NT    2.95 BETA, 20-Mar-1999

	  ! Unified version numbers! cFos for all operating systems has
	    now the same version numbers. Therefore some versions had
	    a rapid "jump" in numbers (like 1.09 -> 2.95 for cFos/NT).

	  ! -j0 is now default! Use -j1 to disable callerid repair.

	  * Added -h switch. By -h=num you can set your areacode, so that
	    it can be suppressed in the caller monitor.

	  * Added a little CTI functionality: cFos can be	used by
	    applications to establish	calls (such as Windows Phone
	    Dialer), as long	as CAPI supports the corresponding
	    "supplementary services". By now we know of 3 cards which
	    support this:

	    AVM Fritzcard, supports SUSPEND/RESUME, HOLD/DISC & ECT
	    HST Saphir, supports SUSPEND/RESUME, HOLD/DISC & ECT
	    Teles cards, supports SUSPEND/RESUME

	    To use it, initialize cFos as follows:

	       ATS16=1 S17=1 S20=3 S88=x &S5="num"

	    You can also use the "cFos CTI support" TAPI modem to
	    simplify initialization.

	    x is the CTI method:

	      0 = off
	      1 = SUSPEND/RESUME, "num" specifies a call park ID. On ATD
		  <phonenum> cFos dials <phonenum> and parks the call.
		  Then you can unpark the call with the ID specified in
		  register &S5.
	      2 = HOLD/DISC, to be used with an internal ISDN bus of
		  your local phone exchange (PABX). "num" specifies the
		  phonenumber of your local phone. On ATD <phonenum>
		  cFos establishes a call to your phone with number
		  <num> and, when successful, dials the number specified
		  by <phonenum> and transfers the call.
	      3..6 = ECT, different variants. Some switching equipment
		  supports ECT instead of HOLD/DISC. You can try these
		  variants if HOLD/DISC doesn't work.

	    Hints: Your local phone	exchange may	require slight
	    modifications to the phone numbers you specify: e.g. if your
	    local phone has number 11, it can be neccessary to	specifiy
	    011 or *11 to tell your switch it's an internal phone. The
	    same is true for your dialed phonenumber. For example with
	    the current configuration of my Euracom 3.x I have to prefix
	    the internal number with * and the external number with 0
	    when I use S88 modes 2 or 3.
	    In order to know what state your calls are currently in,
	    watch the cFos status window instead of the output of the
	    Windows Phone Dialer. This is because ISDN behaves	slightly
	    different than a modem connected in parallel to your phone.

	    We	thank *Tobias	Erichsen* (www.te-systems.de)	for his
	    advice for implementing CTI support.

	cFos/Win
	cFos/NT

	  ! This is the first	version of cFos with our brand new
	    Installer! The Installer should fix some problems	the old
	    installer had, plus it is a lot more flexible than the
	    old one, thus we can easier add features (like configuration
	    stuff) to it in the future. Look	out for new versions,
	    because there are still loads of ideas on our wishlist :)
	    For now, the main news are:

	    -- Under NT, you	can install/deinstall/configure cFos
	       without booting!
	    -- 32-bit support in Windows 9x setup.
	    -- cFos is now uninstallable thru "Control Panel, Software"
	       icon.
	    -- You can view the WHATSNEW file before installing a new
	       version.
	    -- After  configuration/installation  cFos-Modems  are  only
	       deleted if absolutely neccessary.
	    -- After deinstallation the cFos directory is nicely cleaned
	       of all installed files, though cFos data files are only
	       deleted after user confirmation.
	    -- Logfile <WinDir>\CFSETUP.LOG in case of trouble.

	    In case of trouble, please send the relevant parts	(usually
	    the end) of CFINST.LOG in your mail, so we can see what went
	    wrong.

	  * Added a little animation for the status line and taskbar
	    icon. Have fun! :-)

	cFos/Win

	  * Autohide now also disables auto-open of the status window if
	    a tray-icon is present.

	  * Added Power Management Support. Win 95/98 sometimes refuses
	    to enter Suspend Mode, with an application	registered with
	    CAPI. Now cFos unregisters from CAPI driver on Power-Down
	    and re-registers on Power-Up. This should also help a lot
	    of notebook users. This feature is activated by -ks switch.
	    Warning! Use this feature only if Windows refuses to enter
	    suspend mode.

	  * Added cFos sounds.	cFos now starts MPLAYER.EXE	to play
	    Wave-Files on certain events. A wave-file	is played when
	    the corresponding file exists in the cFos directory:

	       CFMON.WAV, played on incoming monitor call
	       CFRING[x], played on RING [for COMx].
	       CFCON[x], play on CONNECT [for COMx]
	       CFDIS[x], played on hangup [for COMx]

	    Warning: cFos does not check if another programm is
	    currently using the multimedia device. Therefore sometimes
	    some popup messages from the media player may appear.

	cFos/2

	  ! Timings and timers were off for approx 1.7%. This has been
	    fixed.  Thanx to Andre Grueneberg.
