USB
OPTi does not make USB cards.
Our USB controller chips are used by several companies in their USB designs.
Fortunately, drivers should not be required. USB is properly supported by both Windows 98
SE (Second Edition) and Windows 2000. No other drivers are necessary. OPTi does not recommend any
version of Windows earlier than Windows 98 for USB. For more information about
USB support, please contact the company that made your USB add-in card or system.
Audio Drivers
OPTi has NEVER
made sound cards. To use our audio drivers, you will need
to know which OPTi chipset is on your sound card. If you need technical support,
or newer drivers, you will need to contact the company that made your sound card.
OPTi sold its audio chipset business in 1997 and we do not have
drivers for Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Linux. Please contact your sound card
manufacturer for these drivers.
The 82C933 was not made by OPTi. It was made by a company named
Ectiva. On March 6, 2000 Ectiva's web site (www.ectiva.com) was shut down. We do not know if they
plan to support their customers.
